HEATHER VAUGHN

Heather Vaughn began her insurance career in 2000 when she joined the administrative staff of Maxcis, Inc. as a receptionist.

At that time she was responsible for handling a six-line phone system. Other duties included receiving of all Form-100 telephone calls from insured’s, data entry and the distribution of mail.

In 2002, Heather was promoted to Claims Assistant. In that position, Heather was responsible for filing state forms, assigning Independent Medical Exams, and data entry. She also was accountable for handling workers’ compensation medical only and small dollar indemnity claims.

In 2003, Heather was promoted to Operations Assistant were she assisted the Operations Manager. This position required her to assist in the implementation of workflow policies and procedures. Other job duties included Human Relation job functions, managing the companies supply expense account, and maintaining off-site storage records.

At the present time Heather’s duties at Maxcis, Incorporated are as Client Development. This position requires Heather to be involved in Public Relations, Sales and Marketing and Quality Control. She is responsible for visiting clients, dropping off informational packets, performing quality surveys for both claimants and clients and answering questions clients may have. Heather also assists management in special projects as well as back up to the Data Manager.

During her employment at Maxcis, Inc., Heather has accomplished many educational endeavors. In 2001, she successfully completed course work in Interpreting Medical Reports and Workers’ Compensation Coverage. In 2002, Ms. Vaughn successfully completed course work in Claims Basics, Team Skills, and Experience Rating. The State of Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth Office of Financial & Insurance Services has recently recognized and approved Heather as a Licensed Resident Producer specializing in Property & Casualty Insurance.
