LUANNE MOWRER, AIS, AIC, AINS |
|
Luanne Mowrer has worked in the insurance industry since 1980. She began her career as a multi-line adjuster for Kemper Insurance and underwent extensive home office training in all major lines of insurance.
In 1990 she became the Administrative Support Supervisor for Worker’s Compensation for Meijer, Inc., who at that time had 50,000+ employees. This position was created when the corporation transitioned from third-party to self administration of their Workers’ Compensation program. Luanne was involved in developing the processes for workflow to ensure compliance with the applicable laws of multiple states and the standards of fair claim practices. Other responsibilities included hiring, training and managing the support staff.
In April, 1999, Luanne joined the team at Maxcis assuming an existing caseload as an adjustor. Since joining Maxcis Luanne has taken the initiative to secure her Certification in General Insurance, from the Insurance Institute of America. In January of 2003 she became an Associate in Insurance Services and in June, 2005, an Associate in Claims. In addition to her certification and designations from the Insurance Institute of America, she has achieved junior status at Aquinas College and is on the Deans List.
Luanne currently functions as the Senior Adjustor for the Michigan Auto Dealers Self-Insured Fund. She specializes in litigation, insurance fraud investigation and catastrophic losses. She possesses strong negotiation and case management skills and has been instrumental in resolving protracted cases, which often require her to work closely with the insured, the reinsurance carrier, medical and legal professionals and case management professionals--such as medical and vocational case managers.
Combining her experience in multi-line claims, while working in the insurance industry, with her specialization in Workers’ Compensation for self-administered and self-insured programs, she possesses the skills to handle the most complex claims in the most extreme circumstances. |
